“Solving Business and
Human-Centered Problems.”
As a designer, our role is to bring everyone on the same page and unite over one common goal. First, interview stakeholders to understand what and why we are trying to achieve for the business and on what timeframe. Check their expectations regarding look and feel, functionality, and target audience. Interviewing dev and support teams it’s also a good idea to get more insight into what are problem areas.
There are many activities we can do to understand users better by build empathy. User journeys and value propositions are beneficial, but there is not always time to do them when we are talking about something small. Personas, on the other hand, are fluffy and fake and have very little practical application. An essential thing that you can do is to list Jobs to be done. This will help you understand the user’s motivations and expectations.
Ideate — generate as many ideas or potential solutions as possible.Evaluate the first ideas you want to bring into further exploration.Set the ideas, the design vision or your hypotheses to a point when you can make them tangible.
‍Output: A set of ideas, a strategic thesis, a concept, first design drafts, a vision or first prototypes.
Prototype, Test & Analyse (make your best ideas tangible, test them and see what you get out).
‍
Learn, Iterate & Repeat (bring in the learnings, maybe rethink, redo, retest).
‍
Build, Iterate & repeat as often as necessary (the better the results get the more you bring your product to a real-world, usable and stable product).
Release your solution and push it out to your users.
‍Output: Your final product or the solution and answer to your original challenge.

Answers to the burning questions in your mind.
I’m always looking to work with my team to discover and implement the most effective approach to solve the problem at hand. I know this is a bit of a cliché, but I’m very dedicated to seeing tasks to completion. At my last review for a design challenge, this was something my mentor took note of and praised me for.
Currently, I am based in Hyderabad, India. The timezone followed here is Indian Standard Time (IST).
