Project:
Support Tool: Support tool is software to manage and view all the dropbox user’s details data. This application was used by support engineer’s from dropbox.

objective:
Be flexible, so experienced (existing customers)/ new users find faster ways to attain goals.

The interface will allow the users to perform a task easily without any cognitive load.

Visible information, instructions, data, etc. to let users recognize options, actions, etc. instead of forcing them to rely on memory

Roles and Responsibilities
Conducting semi structured interviews with stakeholders, to understand their pain points and requirements while carrying out business process.
Attending and schedule project and Weekly Status calls & mails.

Coordinating people and their contributions to aproject.
Revamp complete Information architecture, Design mock-ups and high-fidelity user interfaces
Striking a balance between user needs and business requirements by working closely with Product managers.
Aligning with the development team to understand their capabilities and challenges while implementation.

Problems
The key Problems identified were :

  1. Existing support tool is data heavy, and information was Fragmented and unorganized.
  2. View certain information was a challenge for supportengineer.
  3. Design was too clumsy so that user couldn’t be able totake any action.

Our solution:

  1. Holistic user-centric interface: that gives visibility and usability to entire support tool application and is coherent with system while minimizes the number of clicks.
  2. Revamp the complete site navigation and information architecture: which is more concise and interactive which is based on our assessment.Grouping relevant content logically so support engineers can scan information rapidly.
  3. Redesign the complete interface of an application: By using dropbox style guides, designed an interface which is more visual appealing by applying visualHierarchy principals which enhance over all design.
